I’ve seen Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace more times than I’m comfortable admitting, and I’m pretty sure Anakin doesn’t run round with a yellow lightsaber in it. And but, in Marvel’s new comedian, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace twenty fifth Anniversary Particular #1 popping out Might 1, that’s precisely what’ll occur.
Written by Greg Pak, that includes artwork by Will Sliney and a canopy by Phil Noto, the comedian will retell the story of The Phantom Menace wholly from Anakin’s standpoint. So, keep in mind when he tells Qui-Gon and associates he had a dream that he was a Jedi? Nicely, now we get to see it…
It should have been fairly thrilling for Pak and Sliney to create an entire new Anakin search for the dream, and, we’d think about, have just a few Q&A classes with the Lucasfilm Story Group to okay using a yellow lightsaber. Then once more, it’s a dream, proper? So none of that basically issues. It’s solely canon in Anakin’s thoughts. (In actual fact, perhaps the yellow was the Pressure foreshadowing another Skywalker who would ignite a yellow saber on Tatooine in, oh, about 60 years sooner or later.)
“I used to be eight when A New Hope got here out, so for my youth, Star Wars was synonymous with the unique trilogy,” Pak instructed StarWars.com. “However I delved deep into the prequels after I got here on board as the author of Marvel’s Darth Vader comics, watching and rewatching all of them. And I discovered myself dazzled by the lengthy recreation George Lucas was enjoying in laying out the tragedy of Darth Vader. It’s been an absolute thrill to contribute to that legacy by revisiting The Phantom Menace with new scenes from the standpoint of younger Anakin.”
Right here’s the duvet of the problem, by Phil Noto.
