Common’s been teasing a brand new fashionable tackle The Wolf Man from Invisible Man and Improve’s Leigh Whannell for some time now. Although it appeared like we’d get to see it in theaters in a few months, it’s now been pushed again.
On late Friday, the Hollywood Reporter revealed the movie has now moved from its unique October 25 date to January 17, 2025. Filming simply began final week in New Zealand, and it was just a few days in the past the movie’s core plot was revealed: Christopher Abbott (taking on for Ryan Gosling) and Julia Garner are the dad and mom to a household who discover themselves “terrorized by a deadly predator.” Abbott performs Larry Talbot, who ultimately turns into the titular Wolf Man, and has been beforehand performed by Lon Chaney Jr. and Benicio del Toro within the respective Nineteen Forties model and 2010 remake.
That’s not the one horror film getting moved round. Common opted to yank The Lady within the Yard from its January 10, 2025 date and off its schedule completely. A motive for its elimination wasn’t given, and it’s equally unclear what the movie is definitely about; all that’s identified is that it’s directed by Black Adam’s Jaume Collet-Serra with Danielle Deadwyler (Until) within the lead function.
Even with these two delays, Common’s nonetheless bought some horror up its sleeve for 2024. Together with Abigail on April 19, it’s releasing the James McAvoy-led remake of Speak No Evil on September 13, adopted by Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu (starring Invoice Skårsgard and Lily Rose-Depp) on Christmas Day.
